Starting to cycle to work on a mountain bike
Discussion
That's a 14 mile round trip 5 days a week, would it be silly to expect a major increase in fitness if I kept this up? Takes approximately 35-40 minutes each way including about 2 miles of rough terrain. I can't go back to my (yet again) broken E39 5 Series fora week or so, by then I'll hopefully be into it enough to keep it up. Should help lose the gut I have I hope.
4y ago I struggled to walk up 6 flights of stairs at work
Today I am 3 stone lighter and have (stupidly) entered myself into a stage of the Tour de France up 3 Alps against the clock this summer
I started by riding a MTB twice a week for 90 mins at a time
You will deffo see some difference in fitness and your belly with the routine you mentioned
Good luck!

Are you doing the Etape ? Respect! It's bloody hard work from what I have read. Makes running a marathon look easy. Today I am 3 stone lighter and have (stupidly) entered myself into a stage of the Tour de France up 3 Alps against the clock this summer
