STOP PRESS:

Today in Hertfordshire a surprise encounter between a Wedge & a Chimp gave rise to a new friendship.

Surely not!

After a candle lit beverage the relationship blossomed.

Climaxing in the Chimp spanking the Wedge up a hill in Rickmansworth.

How romantic is that?

The Chimp reminds the Wedge to watch out for giant Brazilian rabbits on his way back to Maple Cross.

Snuck up from behind Dave, and caught me unawares !!
Couldn't help but get the feeling you're ready for a move UP to a wedge !!

It's an exclusive club, and you'd have to go in front of a commitee to see if your worthy!!!
Keep it dark about owning the chimp...keep me in cold ones, and i'll put in a good word....and maybe...just maybe !!

Glad to make your aquaintance, and see you on the Green on the 8th.

Amazing what a wide angled lense can do to a rabbit too !

Seriously though, Ricmansworth never sounded so good when we went up that hill.

The white Wedge sounds the nuts.

Next time I will let you drive the Chimp, room for your golf clubs too wink

If you think the 350 sounded good you really need to hear Chedders machine. wobble
Oh & FWIW, 'The Big Cheese' will get the better of a 4.0 Chimp. yes

Certainly does......extra hp at the flick of a switch FABULOUS!.....currently running an extra 50hp but have the jets for an extra 100, problem is expecting the LT77 to cope with 370-380hp and 400 flbs of torque may just be the final straw for it.

Chedder

P.S may be selling on the NOS this year, any interested Wedgers let me know or have a look at the set up at Wedgefest.

Stats without the Nos are a little less exciting......270-280 hp and 330flbs of torque depending on intake temps......but certainly still enough to shake up Chimpafrolics 400 Chimmy....and enough to drain the fuel tank faster than my wallet can keep uprofl

It sure is.....wags its tail rather a lot on standard road tyres, hence why I use some rather tasty Toyo 888's to keep it in check, amazing tyres in the dry...bit iffy in the wet thoughwhistle

Loving this, you Wedge boys kill me laugh

I think I am the only Chimpster that's been brave enough to take a friendly pop at the cheese drivers, from what i can see you are certainly good sports bow

My 4 litre Chimp is fighting fit and up for the challenge.

She's an original HC spec which was a £1000.00 engine upgrade from TVR.

It got the vernier adjusted TVR 435 high lift cam with duplex timing chain, high compression pocket pistons & double valve springs.

To keep my monkey jungle fresh I have fitted:
  • V8 Developments Stealth cam dialed in by Rob Robertson
  • Full smooth bore ACT induction kit with K&N
  • SC-Power Plenum Spacer
  • SC-Power trumpet bell mouths
  • Dropped trumpets
  • Bosch higher flow rate injectors
  • Mark Adams Tornado Chip
  • Magnecore leads
  • TVR Power high flow banana dispenser
If we see some bends I have the following Wedge spanking setup:
  • Gaz Gold Pro fully adjustable dampers fitted at the Gaz factory
  • Uprated springs (20%)
  • New suspension bushes all round with Sagaris spec thrust shims
  • Leven fully adjustable rose jointed ARB links
  • Front ARB poly bushed
  • Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD tyres
  • Full geometry setup by Wheels in Motion on their state of the art Hunter Hawkeye laser rig
When I stop to wait for the cheese shaped cars to catch up I will do so with the help of my refreshed 5.0 litre Griffith spec brakes with Pagid pads and braided hoses.

Finally because the Chimp weighs in at a massive 100kg less than the lardy Wedge cars its just like having another 20hp on tap even with the golf clubs in the boot wink

So its time for a rumble in the jungle, I can smell the cheese melting already rofl

I like you Wedgers, one thing you can say is "you got balls" thumbup
