As the owner of a '98 L/R Discovery I'm going to have to get a welder sooner rather than later. They're forecasting rain for Friday.
Are the Machine Mart Clarke ones any good for car body repairs or would I be better going to a specialist supplier? Don't want to break the bank but don't want a P.O.S either.
thought about Ebay but not sure I fancy a s/h welder.

I've got the 151EN. Also converted to large BOC bottle. Currently CO2 but when this one runs out I'm going to switch to Argoshield.
I have tried it in its No Gas mode with fluxed wire, but its very smoky & needs the weld to be cleaned of slag. Might be of use if you're having to weld in a gale but I've always used it with gas.
Had it for several years, never had a problem with it & I can definitely say its very good at welding Land Rovers!
