Hi all

Having recently had my 30th, my o/h is shelling out on an experience day for me.

I'm looking around on the net and nothing is really leaping out - I have previously owned a 355 and 550 and had regular access to a 360 and MS Gransport, so lighting my paper is taking much more!

Can anyone recommend a good experience day they know of?
Budget say £500 but will top up for something exceptional!

Thanks!

Been on their website and also recently purchased an experience from them for my niece!

As a previous owner, I wanted more than a few laps? Do they do bespoke experiences perhaps?

Possibly one of the best days out I'm ever likely to have in my life. smile You can buy more laps on the day if you want (depends how deep your pockets are)

Will have a look at Thruxton for comparison....

How much do extra laps normally cost?

Money may be better spent on a palmersport day, as an ex F owner myself I don't think just a few laps would satisfy my appetite! They're great if you've never owned any exotica but I think they'd leave you wanting a lot more.

Not trying to take anything away from the likes of 6th gear experience as they've clearly had a lot of great reviews but a palmersport day may be a bit more full on.

6th Gear is only a quick fix, unless you book in a load of different car which would be a busy 1/2 day.

Palmersport day sounds interesting off to google it

Ditto Palmersport. If it doesn't blow you away you're not trying hard enough!

Palmersport are superb to be honest. I modelled 6th Gear on the way they do things. They do cater better for hardcore enthusiasts/corporates which is their market.Ours is more general public just wanting a driving experience.

Very honest comment and I too would recommend Palmersport. The only time you are not driving during the day is when you are eating! Plus the instructors are nutters and push you further than you expected you could go!

Although their cars are older and not the exotics some people would like to experience. Having said that I might try them out given they are 20 mins from me and I've never been there!

Palmersports is one of the best days out you will ever have! As said before, the instructors are always pushing you to go faster and try harder. I remember driving the JP1 round a slower car getting the tail out and riding out the slide, simply awesome stuff and was encouraged rather than told off. A whole day is about a £1000 but hey also do a number of half days which would be within budget and would be a good choice.
