I think last year's camping with Drinking for Holland & The Brethren will make this year's seem rather subdued - trust me! Oh, and I'll have spent 11 days laying on the beach in the run up to Le Mans, so I'll be super relaxed anyway.

We were LM first timers last year so had no idea what to expect other that what had been read elsewhere. Anticipated complete chaos on the site but found nothing of the sort! Basic stuff like showers and 'facilities' were much better than expected, the bar was great as was the BBQ. Felt secure enough to not panic about leaving stuff lying around and fellow campers without exception always in good form! You can't really see the track but it's less than a minute to climb up the bank to the track from the site gate and the village about 20 minutes on foot. Interested to hear more about 'the form' for this site.
And one specific question, can you see the track from the site?
Sure the regulars on here can tell you far more than I but seemed to tick all the boxes for our group of old gits!

I am a little biased, but IMHO this is the best location at LeMans, made better by the atmosphere and good humour within the site.Interested to hear more about 'the form' for this site.

Between the marquee and bar there is a 50mtr walk to the track. The site is separated from track side by a spectator verge. This is very good for us as it deflects much of the noise and keeps most spectators away from the site.(although the exhaust crackle and glow of rear lights as the cars head down the Mulsanne is glorious)
It has an 8ft perimeter wall and a single access point, so no through traffic. Secure and inside the GE zone, so no pykies.
Everyone gets wrist bands. If you are not wearing one, you will be challenged.
Decent private showers/loos, marquee, bar, TV, SAT, Music and Food.
All pitches are marked, so no free for all. It is a well organised site run by people who have been to LeMans since the late 80's and are there to enjoy themselves and not make money.
As I said, I am biased, but would not do it if we didn't love it!
16 cars on the 08.20 Eurotunnel Thursday morning heading towards TL at Tetre Rouge.
A number of the guys stayed last year and speak very highly of it. On a personal note it'll be interesting to see what the site is like having been used to and quite liking the idea of doing everything yourself.
The group now consists of a really good mix of virgins, newbies (less than 10 visits) and some real oldtimers like myself who started going around the same time as the TL guys (circa 1987). Our zenith in terms of numbers came in the mid 90's when our party was over 100 people based on Houx Annex so we're well used to organising these things.

I completely agree. Although I have no experience with the other private campsites and they might be just as good, the Team Langoustine dedicated campsite is the way to go for the above reasons.
