Gallardo Wing Mirror out of position
Discussion
Does anybody know how to adjust the position of the wing mirrors on a Gallardo ?
I mean the actual wing body shell and not glass.
The motorized movement of the wing shell works well and it can move 90 degrees when going through tight spaces. But when I want to go back to the standard position, it gets into an offset position (like 10 degrees out) and it is basically not aligned with the pillar...
I had a quick look on the Internet and it looks like the mechanism inside can break, which then results in a loose wing mirror but I don't think that's what happening on mine since the motor is still working and moving the shell in and out. It is just offset when in normal position...
Anybody knows how to solve this ?

It is possible to move the wing mirror body manually. I had this problem when I left it parked and somebody knocked it out of position. I suggest you position the mirrors in the "open" position then carefully move the body of the mirror to align with the pillar. A bit scary but it does work.
Thanks Ianc but not sure it works for me.
There seems to be 2 positions around the axis of the pillar where the mirror locks into position.
When I force it to move, it 'clicks' then moves and clicks again into another position.
Unfortunately, both positions are out of its normal or closed position...

Sorry to hear that. When mine was bashed it was only a pedestrian walking past the car at an event so I guess it just popped out and was possible to pop it back to propoer position. Sounds like yours is a little more serious. Sorry I can't help any further but maybe someone with a bit more exterpertise can assist.
