GTV V6 misfire + cracking coil packs

Had a misfire on the GTV V6 - now got new plugs, new crank sensor, new MAF, all were on the to do list anyway
Seemed to have isolated the problem to cylinder number 3. I had acquired a perfect condition set of spare coil packs, every time I fit a 100% perfect one to cylinder 3 the plastic melts and splits - clearly something is awry here - anyone any ideas?

That's very odd. You will be better off trying Alfaowner or Alfa156.netSeemed to have isolated the problem to cylinder number 3.
