Car designs that started well and then went wrong

For example, I really love the look of the rear of the Honda S2000. The 3/4 rear looks great too, quite butch and even a hint of Griff about it when one looks along it's flanks. The side looks fine, but the front looks like they gave up and put a Civic front end on it. It always looks to me like they could not be bothered and IMHO it looks quite effeminate in comparison to the rest of the car, though i would still like one, I just wouldn't look at the front. A real shame!

New xj jaguar, front and side three quarters look like maserati designed it, but looks like 'kia' did the r send.

Prepares for a slating, but the 911! It looks great from the front, but the rear end just looks like the designer gave up when he reached the back of the roof.

The Toyota FT-86, it isn't even out yet and they've given it a tacky facelift.

I actually disagree, consider the car when it first arrived. It looked better than its competition, think about the Z3 or Porsche Boxster.

In isolation, a pretty car, but the original sketches had the door handle as a bridged arc between the vertical of the door and the glasshouse. The flush vertical handle of the production car is a poor nod to the design imo.

I think the complete opposite. Love the front end, thought it looked like a more masculine version of an MX5. Rear is 'ok' and the side view is horrible. Would still like one though, so we can agree on that.

There you go, just as well we are all different or the world would be a boring place. Still don't like the front though.

The 911. I'm not trolling either. The 997.1 looked so much better then the 996, but the 997.2 rear looks so much better then the 997.1. No doubt the 998 (or whatever the next generation is) will make the 997.2 look dated. Shame.
