The Mk4 Golf really does seem to be the morons car of the moment. That's what I know.

As a golf owner this type of thread makes me want to put my head in the sand. Owning kid same type of car as these morons.

I feel I may have to buy a tvr to distance myself

Disclaimer: my golf has no silly mods, standard wheels and suspension

It does appear that the Mk4 Golf has replaced the E36 BMW as the moron's car.

Well, first question is what do you want to know?

Then you might get a half decent answer (though I am afraid as this is PH, a spellchecker before posting might be an idea if you want to get a half decent answer!).

Thank bloody christ my MK4 has been "improved" slightly using genuine OEM parts

There are some truly terrible examples out there unfortunately

Its a shame as in OEM spec they are nice cars, just they seem to have reached the age/ price of attracting undesirable nasty after-market mods. The MK5 looks to be going a similar way as it starts to get cheaper. Same story with the E46 BMW.
