Just wondering what our average mileage is ? When you come to buy or sell what constitutes an average mileage and does it differ for DB9,Vantage DBS or between coupe, and Volante,s or v8's and v12's ? Do average annual mileages increase dramatically after the warranty finishes ?
Quick straw pole - mine's a DB 9 Volante 2006 17000 so around 3500 per annum -slightly below average I am guessing for a Volante ? 6500 miles when I bought it after 18 months - so fairly even mileage over it's life so far .

Perhaps if you took a few people out to Proms etc out of the goodness of your heart George you would put a few more miles on the car.

Why would I want to do that? I'm completely against the whole prom thing anyway, especially the tts that show off with stuff they don't own.

I agree about the prom thing totally, but is it ok then to be a t**t and show off in a car you DO own??

ETA a reply to the original post - about 5000 miles (probably more this year), V8V Roadster.

Approx 5K pa.

Wife's just started her own beauty business from home and if it's a special birthday treatment etc I go and collect the young lady in question as part of the treatment, then return her all beautiful smile

I don't agree with buying a car with the intentions of showing off, but if you worked hard and did buy the car yourself I would say you have more right to than someone renting one.

My V12V is 15 months old with 4785 miles on it. This equates to 3800 miles pa.
My insurance is for 3000 miles pa so the average is currently on the way down after the first owner did 3000 miles in the car's first 6 months.

Mine is my daily hack - I do around 12k miles per year in it, currently on 42k

Have another car as the family wagon at weekends.

Astons were designed to be used daily!

Did about 5k/yr in my DB7 and on track for the same in the DB9, maybe 6k with 2 x France trips. Could easily do 15k/yr but would murder the value and my insurance is limited - a shame I have to consider it. Have 4 cars on 5k year limits each, don't commute, only drive for pleasure and still hit my quota every year!

I think Gaydon era cars are the first to have an annual or 10k service interval, DB7 was 6k or 6 months which made it an expensive proposition for a 12k/yr hack. And they needed a 6 monthly look-at as well!

V8 Vantages are driven like 911s, Aston's first daily driver I'd say. It's good to see smile

I did about 7k in the past year. It is my daily driver, but I live far too close to my place of work.
