Although some ticket agencies seem to have advertised packages including one of the screens it doesn't appear they are supplying them, unless it is going to be a late deal!

This posting is from ten-tenths but seems to indicate negogiations still on between fanvision and the ACO

I saw someone with the Kangaroo TV last year and it looked excellent, so much so I was going to try and get one this time. I hope they manage to sort something out, but I fear its probably too late now.

We had one last year. Top product. worked all round the main track. out in the sticks wasn't as reliable. but was fine on Blu Nord. as long as you weren't in your car.

and a snap at something like 50 euro

Edit, last year you got General Coverage feed, Pit lane camera, 2 in car camera's and something else. Plus the option of the announcer or Radio Le Mans for audio.

All round excellent addition to your normal radio tuned to RLM

Live lap timings were crucial for keeping track of what was actually going on.

I find it hard to digest whats going on in all of the classes just from listening to radio itself.

Really worth hunting down getting one over just sticking the radio on?

I didn't even know about the radio last year being my first year! Naive would not be an adequate word smile

A reply to an email I sent in April -

Hi Adam,

We have not finalized a deal yet with Le Mans although the outlook is good. Basically, we should be renting devices very soon. I’ve filed your email for follow-up when more information becomes available.

Kind regards,

Meghan

I'm very interested to.

I've got to work the race this year so it's no skin off my nose but the g/f will be mighty miffed after we found it so good last year.

Oh well, bad news I'm afraid!

Here is the response:

"Hi ***,

Regretfully, due to unforeseen circumstances, FanVision (formerly known as Kangaroo TV) will not be attending the 24 Heures du Mans in 2011. We wish to apologise to all of our customers who may be inconvenienced. We look forward to introducing our newest product in future years and we will continue to operate in Formula 1 (and NASCAR) uninterrupted.

Thank you for your loyal support.

The FanVision Team"

Gutted isnt the word - absolutely took the experience last year to a new level.

Hopefully the kind guys with the motorhome & huge canopy I ended up talking to out of the rain on the Friday last year will be back so we can talk Mk1 escorts and watch some Eurosport over a few beers smile

Bad new guys...received this over the weekend:

I had one last year for the first time and it was excellent.

Maybe the ACO was greedy?

Who knows... frown
