Matte Metallic Silver?

There is a car in the workshop with a half finished paint job at the moment. Its this new water based paint you put on matte and then give it a coat of lacquer.

I keep looking at it thinking that looks really good! And I'm half tempted to spray the Mazda matte / satin metallic silver.

What do you guys think?

has matt paint, not silver but I reckon the matt effect generally is great. Not sure how you look after it though.

Don't understand this current fad/fascination with Matt paint finishes on cars?

Personally I think it looks awful, but each to their own, if you like it, do it!
