Hi Ste, welcome to Merc ownership. I've just bought a CLK and had much the same issue with the phones. I ended up getting one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mercedes-Benz-bluetooth-phon... for about £80 off ebay and it seems to work ok. It just clips into the phone prep thing in the armrest. There are a few other varieties if you put "mercedes bluetooth" in the search. I've heard that retro fitting a COMAND system is a bit of a pickle, though it's only heresay. There are some after market units which I believe work ok and are a lot easier to fit. You could also get your bluetooth through one of these systems. Good luck. Andy

This page should tell you all you need to know about bluetooth adapters. It seems that the Viseeo one is the most reliable and flexible in terms of the phones it will pair with. The Mercedes units are less likely to work with your phone, particularly if your phone is quite new. I bought a Viseeo MB-2 off eBay for under £100 and it's perfect, worked immediately with an HTC Desire and the call quality is excellent.

I have the Viseeo in my SL and it works perfectly with my Iphone 4
and is very easy to set up.

Yes the Viseeo Unit is pretty good, had one in my SLK. Needed the occasional reset, but other than that it was pretty solid. Comand Online are pretty good for advice on these things...

Nice choice. You should be able to retrofit COMAND as mentioned to get the nav. Well worth it since it adds to the resale value of the car.
