Hi Guys

Just sold a couple of watches on here and realized a few readies. Now I am thinking I want to go all the way while I can afford to and put a some more dosh to it giving me about 5K.So guys throw some suggestions at me. It Must be Sporty ie Chronograph a must, all Stainless Steel but at the same time dressie it must also be min 40mm watch face I also think I will get more bang for my bucks buying pre-owned, which holds no fear to me providing you buy right. I have just sold a Speedy a Seamaster and a Bvlgari so thats those out. I do like the Planet Ocean Chrono circa £4,250 brand new. Buying pre-owned opens up more avenues such as IWC ZENITH and one watch I do like Tudor Chrono Oysterdate pre 90s. So what do you guys think

I was looking at this the other day: IWC Spitfire.

Comfortably inside your budget, though there are more expensive models...

My white-dialled one came with a steel bracelet. I don't really get on with them, which is why I have it on a strap, but it is a very, very nice bracelet.

The white one is actually on my list to flip fairly shortly, so if you aren't in a hurry ... whistle

I was going to post and ask that very question (re flipping!).
PM me when you do chap, I love the HW Class Chrono, I could well be interested!

OP, definitely check out second hand stuff. Many high-end pieces are likely to be in such vast collections that they are likely to be very lightly worn (if at all); residuals aren't good for many of those watches either, so second hand you can get some astounding buys!

Well I went out with the intention of not buying a watch today just going to look and see what was on offer. Tried the Planet Ocean really did like it. I went to Watches of Switzerland tried a Paneria Chrono titainum very nice but a bit rich at nearly 7k as was the ltd etition Breitling Blackbird £6,800. At this time I was ready to call it a day when going into Earnest Jones I spied a Breitling Superocean Heritage Chrono 46, but it was in blue. I sad to the guy please tell me you have it in Black yes was the answer just one. Well the rest was history, it ticks all the boxes, size its classy and I have a soft spot for a mesh strap, which I think looks stunning

Having had the Spitfire chrono three years now, I'd say it was the wrong decision; except I do love that Breitling Heritage so much too cool

I to love the Spitfire and if it came with a steel bracelet things would have been different. But this Heritage with the Mesh strap just sold it to me

I might be biased though wink

. . . I know it's not on a bracelet, but they are available. I also have the metal bracelet for my 3717 IWC and it looks great on it.
