No, I am not talking about your girlfriend although that may brighten up the thread, I mean photographs of your interesting and imaginative Barbeques, Smokers or what have you.
My make do Fire-pit Barbi is on its last legs, literally, one of the three fell of last week and it is now propped up on a brick. So I need to replace it with some thing more practical.
I am hoping for photographs of yours for inspiration I am also interested in people’s views on what makes a good Barbeque in terms of design and construction. I’ll start with what I think:-
Must be charcoal
Must be high enough to cook at standing up, not hunched over, you cannot drink in that position.
The grill should be height adjustable to be able to control the heat
There should a back and sides round the cooking area to reflect/contain the heat
Preferably the grill should be robust not chromed wire, it is not up to the job
I must say one of the best I have used was one of the cheap brick built things but it just would not look right in my garden and the fire tray only lasted about a year.
Come on lads help me out.

I have a Greek barbecue courtesy of my father-in-law. Three rotating spits, several smaller rotating skewers, height adjustable spits. The business.

I'm interested in some pics too. I fancy building a brick/stone BBQ and googling isn't coming up with many interesting results so far.

The image that is just coming up as the pink box is to stop hotlinking, right click on the picture and select properties. It shows this url - http://geniuscook.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/b... looks like a crazy barbie

Edit - uploaded that pic elsewhere for you

Glad to help! I've got a whole leg of lamb marinading right now for lunch tomorrow that requires careful BBQ management and about 2 hours to cook.
