I was wondering if anyone here is in the South Bucks area and has a sand blaster that I could kindly borrow to clean up a set of wheels? It would be much appreciated and I can always bring a crate of your choice of beer with me

I recently did a set of alloys for my mr2. Ended up spending a few days sanding them down by hand.
If you have no luck with a sandblaster and need to sand them by hand give me a shout. I'm local and will happily help.

That's an exceptionally kind offer RZ1 - one I may have to take you up on it

I was looking for a sandblaster because I thought it would be quicker. What did you use to sand them down by - I'm wondering if I could use an electric sander to speed the process up (and because I'm a lazy !).

The plan is to sand them down, prime them and paint them. And, if I'm feeling adventurous, some silver/chrome on the rim.

Anyway - appreciate the offer - where abouts in Bucks are you?

I used an electric sander and a dremel multi tool thing for the hard to reach areas.
All worked well until the last wheel when the dremmel thing broke.
It was hard work but worth it in the long run.
