Does anyone know what is behind the internal door skin edge where the pin that engages into the fixed door catch on the body is located?
I have a loose pin on the passenger door, there are two countersunk holes drilled in each door catch pin base and I am assuming that they should have self-tappers screwed into the door to locate them after they have been adjusted.
The catch pins appear to have a nut on the back because they can be tightened to a degree.
Before I carefully drill a couple of holes to fix the pins I want to be sure there is nothing internally behind within the door.

Hello Tom,

the Pin on the door is fixed by rotating it. The holes are for the pliers to turn it.

have you removed the door trim panel to have a look at the inside?

I`d strip it down and have a looksee before you start drilling holesyes

remove the 3 xm6 bolts from the underside of the door(you will find 3 large access holes to get to the bolts) and lift off panel.

I tightened it up with some grips, seems fine now, I could see in the daylight what the holes were really for, Thanks for the help chaps.
