Was it just me or was Stoneleigh a bit quiet yesterday? Not the usual buzz going around.....still met up with a few people that I haven't seen in a while.

It will be interesting to hear some feedback about today for sure.

How many Ults were there yesterday, ten may be.

Yep I though the same, walking around the other club areas seemed a little subdued, although the display buildings i thought were pretty busy.

Went today.... strolled around the whole event in under 2hrs, a scattering of nice examples on display but generally very quiet with little new-technology on display IMHO ...was in search of 60-2 and cam reluctor wheels along with latest efi info, none of which were available. So quite bored we returned home for 1530... enjoying the sun !

I thought there were less manufacturer exhibitors than in previous years too (I didn't go last year).

The trade stands tend to be mostly small operations with very low overheads so probably able to weather harder times with a bit of belt tightening.

The reduction in numbers of the public probably shows the rising household bills are starting to bite. The cost of fuel and below inflation pay rises will have had some effect by now.

There are still plenty of people out there with money to spend but everyone is being more careful these days.

On that gloomy note I must ring the factory and order a few more parts!!!

I wonder if the extended bank holiday played any part? People more tempted to take a break, I came back from Snetterton Friday lunch time and the A11 was chocker (with caravans too) so may be lot going away after that wedding thing...
