As indicated on another thread there is interest in a early Sunday meeting ( 7am to 9am ) for York (and near to York) petrol heads. The idea is its a quick social meeting that does not take up the whole day so we can get on with all those excting lifestyle activities we all do ( like go to tesco and wash the dog).

The first one will be end of this month or begining of next ( i am off to see the Mille Miglia and will only be back in a few weeks)

If u are interested please PM me with your email address
Suggestions for suitable venues would be welcome.

regards stephen

Who mentioned early? biggrin

Be good to get this arranged.

Could I suggest maybe 9-11am or so as not to run the risk of a poor turnout? I don't function that well getting up at daft o'clock on a weekend wink

Thoughts on this anyone.....

Never been to anything other than the Malton meet so providing the date is good and I have a car to come in (not the diesel estate) I will be up for this.

Would I have seen your car driving through Helmsley over the weekend with an orange essie? If it was both cars looked lovely.

Sadly not - it's STILL in the garage getting engine work done! Been there months now, at the moment getting a fast road cam fitted instead of the lairy road/rally jobby. It'll be 32 next month and I am contemplating sending it a birthday card as it's so long since I drove it.

There are two that colour in N Yorks then. I'd love one, but finding one in good nick for reasonable money now is almost impossible.

11am is very late for a Siunday meet Leigh. You will clash with all those nice Sunday day trippers setting off for their various pootles.

If you want to drive anywhere, early is by far the way to go. The empty roads are more than worth getting up early for.

Starting at 9am though wink or you're considering the drive home as well?

I guess that for those travelling more than a stones throw away from the meet, an earlier drive will be more enjoyable. But lets face it, you'll have to be up 2 hours before anyone else with marshalls in toe to guide your fat arsed car out of the garage biggrin

But, I did ask for comments smile

Only in my dreams. You need to get down to Argos for a new body clock mate and get up when the rest of the human race does biggrin
