Speaker fallen out of door
Discussion
One of my more enthusiastic door slamming friends managed to make the speaker in my passenger door fall out!
On closer inspection it appears that the screws into the fibreglass have worked themselves loose over time & the holes in the fibreglass are now too big.
So, question is, whats the best way to fix speakers in? Should I be drilling new holes in the fibreglass?
cheers

Exactly the same happened to me last week - driver's door speaker dropped onto my right foot on a roundabout. Could have been recipe for disaster!
Cured it with selftappers a size bigger.
Same here last year. Do they go into the GRP or just the door panel, I thought the latter. Anyway 1 size up on the current screw size and it hasn't moved since.
Must be a case of TADTS!
Hmmm, I had the same problem a while ago and decided to upgrade to some infinity's.. I made up some MDF rings that fitted behind the GPR and pulled everything together when the speakers were fitted.. Door is now much more solid on shutting and speaker is solid in door.. P.S Infinity grills fit perfectly in the radius on the door card......
