Loose Door Mirror

Driving along the motorway today, my door mirror decided to go limp and just be useful to look at the white lines of the road. The whole assembly is loose in the door.

I will take off the door card to have a look. In the meantime can anyone advise what the fix is likely to be please. Thanks in advance
