Nice day out, unforunately Anthony forgot to push the SD card in properly, so we lost about 7 hours of the best roads and video footage, and all we were left with is this bit of video coming back out of the mountains.
We met up with the guy who has the 458 oakley edition in Limassol and he obliged us with a little race, its fast but the Noble and the 997TT had a bit more pull which i think was a bit of a shocker for the owner, but who cares the car is all round amazing.
We will be meeting up with him again at the end of the month so will make sure to get some video.

btw, i was very impressed with how the car performed all day, no noticaeble power loss all day, the temps were all good even on a 2 hour hill climb, the fans in the engine bay linked to all the heat insulation were doing a cracking job of reducing under hood temps.

Just before the run i noticed i had an air gap 1" over the top of the intercooler, my intercooler literally touches the underside of clam, but i have the advantage of looking through the whale tail vent and noticed the clam recess, its a funny shape, anyway i put a 25mm EPDM foam strip glued to the clam not the IC and i feel it made a big difference.

Even if you have a foam strip on top of your IC i bet you still have the same 25mm gap and is well worth sorting as the performance of the IC will be greatly enhanced, whatever foam strip you have now to touch the clam, you need another one on top for the middle section where the clam recesses, once you look you will understand.

I suspect the ferarri has no torque and can't match the overtaking moves of the turbo'd cars

your mrs doesn't seem very happy with you at the end !

lol She was complaining because i had glue residue from the sticky tape all over the camera smile

That photo where i got stopped by the police, apparantly it was a no overtaking zone, i thought i was in big trouble but they were not interested in how fast i was going thankfully, only ticket of the day, so not too bad.

You're very lucky to be able to jump into a great car and hit these roads whenever you like. Whenever im over there i always drive down this stretch of road -

It would be great if you can get a video of that section of road Chrissmile

I was actually stationed in Kato Pyrgos for my national guards service and used to do that road all the way from Paphos and back every day for about a year. Of course it was only a lowly 1989 Lancer but even so i would have to change tires and discs every 4 months.... biggrin

If you liked that road node you should check out the Stavros tis Psokas run next time you're over. You'll love it. http://goo.gl/maps/45p5 (the blue bit) A few videos of one of my runs here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jR8VJ2pW1TU

I was stationed in Polis for a while in 2005. Sometimes when i had some free time I'd jump in the car and put my foot down around that bit of road. Theres nobody around for miles apart from a bunch of Turkish,Cypriot and UN soldiers. Its scary when you know you're only inches away from a +500ft drop!! (makes it more fun though doesn't it!!) I dont remember doing that road from Stavros but i have been up there quite a few times when i was younger. I'll do that that next time im over there.thumbup

nice video with the BMW BTW. Hmm maybe i should pack up and move out there.scratchchin
