I've had a good look at the Crazy Hours before and couldn't get my head around the hype, just seemed like once the novelty wore off they're little more than quirky and too expensive for the novelty factor.

But, thanks to a mate fancying a temporary swap for one of mine, I've had some extended wrist time with one this weekend and I loved it. Absolutely stunning things and perfect size for my wrist. Nice and weighty, feels like a seriously well made lump.
Obviously, getting asked for the time can leave you looking a bit 'special' at first, but I was surprised how intuitive it became. Lots of laughs to be had watching drunk mates trying to fathom it too.

In less than 48 hours I've gone from not really liking them, or rather not really 'getting' them, to absolutely loving them cloud9

So, I now know what I want for my next watch. Perhaps if I squirrel enough away before I go to Vegas in June/July I'll be able to pick up a second hand one and take advantage of what seems to be a decent drop in residual prices and a [hopefully] reasonable exchange rate.

Not really sure what the point of this thread was, just thought I'd share my new found love biggrin

There are two watch shops in Caesars Palace one is a large multiple but the smaller one offered a very hefty discount on a Franck Muller.
I had a personal trip round watchland for the cost of a few e-mails,and the watches are beautiful,if a bit scorned by the haute horologists.
My suggestion is either secondhand or only with a huge discount as depreciation is hefty. There are stories on the net of very large dealer margins so negociate

I must admit that Franck Muller took a while to grow on me but Ive had my King Conquistador Cortez Chrono with full diamond set for a couple of years(I bought it as an extravagant 40th birthday present to myself)now and have not gone off it one bit.I wore it for a wedding over the weekend and it attracted a lot of comments and admiration.I have it on the rubber strap which contrasts nicely with the shiny diamonds(around 300 of them!)

yikes I haven't seen one in the flesh, but 300 diamonds must make it capable of landing aircraft! I'd be terrified of wearing the full diamond set on account of my oafishness hehe

I absolutely love Franck Muller watches. I was hoping to pick up a used one as my 40th present, but they are like rocking horse poo second hand and I didn't find the one I was looking for. New wasn't an option due to budget constraints. One day maybe.

I think that they suffer such heavy depreciation that people tend to keep them rather than lose so much money.

The Colour Dream Crazy Hours is stunning, but I'd settle for a dark faced Casablanca with date.

I might even dig it out of my sock drawer and post a few pics just for fun.It is an outrageous piece and I dont normally like diamond watches but I thought that if I was going to own one then I may as well own an over the top one!

I was originally going to buy my (now ex)brother in laws King Conquistador Chrono with full factory diamond set,but when it came down to it he couldnt part with it so he put me in touch with these guys who he has bought other watches from in the past(a lot cheaper than factory set diamonds).I was a little dubious at first but had a good look at the workmanship and quality of diamonds against his factory set and I must say(and Im an ultra fussy bugger)that the workmanship of the setting was equally as good and the diamonds glinted just as much if not a little more than his.

Here is the exact same watch as mine and I'll post up some piccys next time I get it out.
