just bought a mk2, colour is BRG with a tan hood. As the interior has a lot of black, i want to lighten it up.
Bought cream leather handbrake & gearstick gaiters, should i get either a light wood or chrome dash kit.
Adivice needed and has anyone done the same, any pics to sway the o/h?

It's all personal preferences of course but I like & have fitted brushed or satin chrome bits in my BRG with grey leather & door cards. Its a bit less shiny shiny for my taste but still brightens up the place a bit.

Mine used to have wood but I got rid of it as it looks a bit naff. Replaced with carbon-effect centre console (from a 10AE) and satin steel as I didn't want shiny chrome. Looks a lot better IMO.

I don't have a pic of the full interior, just this poor pic of the centre console:

hadn't thought about bushed aluminium, carbon fibre is nice but the o/h doesn't.
2 choices has now increased to 3, help!

Carbon fibre isn't really much of an option as it doesn't come up for sale that often. I think you can get CF effect stick-on stuff though (like the wood effect stick-on stuff).

thanks for all the imput, ordered brushed alloy finish which will also mean that i'll have to look out for a new handbrake and gearknob to match.
