Help tracking down old car - May have changed reg's

Sold my Fiesta about a month ago as part ex, It was on a personalised plate that I let go with it T666JGH.
It was part ex'd at Hillcrest car sales in North Wales and the dealer said he was going to take it to auction and may take off the reg if it were to devalue the car.
I've decided I'd quite like to buy it back for a project and was wondering if the PH collective could help me track it down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm not even sure if it's possible to track a cars new registration.
