Editing thread titles

Why do you not allow it?

I'm sure the wisom at PH Towers has its reasons but I'm curious to know what they are.

Mainly to stop people playing silly games and changing the content of a thread after people have started replying to it.

If you realise that you have made a mistake before anyone replies, you can delete your own thread and repost it (just delete the first and only post and it takes the thread with it). If people have replied, then just report it to the mods and we will sort it
