One Day Insurance For Business Use?

Can anyone recommend an outfit that can provide temporary (single day preferable) business cover on a car that isn't owned by the person covered?

Most temporary cover sites only offer SDP and commuting, but I need it to cover travelling to a non-permanent place of work.

Extending or adding the person to the existing policy isn't an option, for reasons that the current insurer cannot explain.

Wouldn't getting the company to supply a rental car for the day be simpler than arranging a one day insurance policy? I can't imagine they'd be cheap and hiring a small car isn't particularly expensive.

It would be easier if the car owner could just ring up their insurer and ask them to add the person for business use on their car, but for some unknown reason you cannot do that.

Arranging a hire car, picking it up, dropping it off, etc is going to be a ball ache when there's a perfectly good car that the person could use sitting on a drive all that day.

Thanks for the link, they don't exclude it in their terms, but unfortunately they do exclude cars that have any aftermarket modifications and cars older than 10 years.

It looks like a hire car is going to be the only option - absolute madness considering the person concerned drives this car (fully insured) all the time for SDP use.
