Tempted to start riding again, need to get fit!
Been offered a friend's bike bought under C2W, and used only a handful of times. It currently has a broken chain, which he hasn't fixed and has stood for around a year.
It's a Boardman Comp hardtail, 2010 model, and he wants £400.
Good deal or any suggestions?

Mattt have seen these go for £350 on fleabay. offer him that and a case of stella! mates rates :-D
Regarding frame size, try a medium frame at halfords for comparison.
Being 6ft i prefer a med frame as the bike feels more responsive on climbs, downhills and general hacking about..
Large mtb frames feel clumsy and harder to pedal uphill.. in my opinion...
Also get original purchase receipt and return to bike shop/Halfords and they will replace chain free of charge with a hint of your gunna be back for helmet/spares/servicing etc...
