Getting rid of a car

Mrs Darren9 has a 52 plate 1.2 clio and it is, in a word ... f*cked.
There are scratches down one rear quarter, one wing has a chunk missing, the sunroof leaks and has made the inside of the car smell of mould, the central locking doesn't work, the boot won't lock at all, there is a misfire which causes the car to sometimes cut out/go into limp home mode, it needs a new cat and a rear wheel bearing, and it has no tax or test, oh and and its never been serviced. (and they're just the faults I can remember)
Since it would cost a lot of money to get it fixed and even then its just a 1.2 clio its not a good idea for us to spend any more money on it, plus I'm looking at buying a 306GTi6 so need the space ... I'm looking at getting rid.
What is the best way to shift this but try and get something (anything) in my back pocket for the 306 fund?
Ebay as spares/repair? - Too much hassle I thought + who would actually take it?
Scrap yard? Do they give you anything?
Any ideas PH massive?

Stick it on ebay. I got £295 for an omega I was going to scrap. It was rusty, every panel was either scratched or dented and it was pissing water out of the water pump. And the knocking from the engine was like someone trying to escape from inside using a hammer.
I put all this on the ad, even advised whoever bought it to trailer it away. Polish bloke took it off my hands and got all of 5 miles before the engine siezed.
Had a good radio. This was the only positive I could come up with for the ebay ad !

This, there's people out there with the time to strip the car for bits and maybe make a small profit, i've done it in the past when a bit strapped for cash, have a look on ebay, search for spares and repair, you may be suprised what they go forI put all this on the ad, even advised whoever bought it to trailer it away. If it has more then one working door mirror it is defiantly better then my daily driver
