Hmmm... this "Wife" problem comes up fairly regularly, I have suffered from it myself intermittently...

Is there a known solution or is it a substitution/upgrade type fix? that can be an expensive option (speaking from experience)

there must be something in the manuals somewhere? I have found its somehow connected to my Rev Limiter

There are temporary fixes but they dont last long... they can also be pretty expensive...

Come on Chris, you are a convincing talker, try explaining how much money would be saved if one of you stayed at home... you know it makes sense

I'm doing the Round the Island yacht race. We are defending our trophy from last year..!!

Oh, and car is in bits anyway. I intend to stop all the stupid oil leaks. So far I have changed the front crankshaft seal and the rocker gaskets. I'm half way throughdoing the rear pinion of the diff. Already had a new seal in but the oil has managed to find its way through the splines on the shaft and past the pinion nut. The battle continues.......
