Surely what they look like is of secondary importance to the effect that even larger wheels may have on grip, ride, handling, NVH and general performance?

What do you think they'll look like? You'll probably think they look great. That's all that matters. If you want them, buy them. What we think they'll look like is irrelevant. It's like asking what we think of the colour red, or whether we like the Beatles, or whether we're legs or tit men. It's completely subjective. Personally, I think they'll look ridiculous, but so what? Why don't you get the rear side windows tinted while you're at it?

I've had the factory option 19s on my last couple of coupes and currently have them on my cab, apart from attracting every kerb they improve the look of the car massively IMO.

If you were to go with bigger wheels I would suggest going for the factory fit option and not an aftermarket set, I think the wrong wheels can completely ruin the look of a car.

ps ignore R129, he rarely has a positive word to say on here!

This company usually gets them cheaper than most Merc dealers manage:

Or I guess you could trawl eBay but I reckon it'll be a long wait!
