Got the boot open (thanks Flinstone!).

How do I fix it lol?

If I push the button, I dont hear any clicking noise anymore.

Also, how the hell do I get the TVR black rubber hatch covers off the boot interior?

Cheers all,

Brad.

IIRC the covers are stuck on i.e evo stick style, It may just be that you need to adjust the badge.

IIRC on mine I added a couple if small electrical grommets over the badge screws to give the button a little more travel and thus reach the switch.

what is it with you
do you have 2 left hands ?
so you have the boot open
unscrew the badge and have a look if there's a problem
perhaps it needs adjustment.
when you have the badge off and you can push the button without hearing the lock you'll have to look further (sellunoid ?)
if you hear the lock working but it doesnt release enough it needs adjusting
if you hear the lock but it doesnt work with the badge on you'll have to adjust that.
there are to many reasons why it wont work
perhaps it's as easy as pushing the little button next to youre steering wheel (immobiliser)

What, asking how to fix my Tuscan's boot mechanism on a Tuscan forum?

..........

Cheers Big Al! I didn’t want to pull them off if they were screwed on, I was twisting them round for ages Sunday!

use a screwdriver to insert somewhere at the edge of the cover to have a starting point. Can be hard to take them off (and hard to put them back). Maybe using a hairdryer on them first will help.

If you need a solenoid, Maplins do them for about 8 quid.

It's this one:

Make sure you get the two wire version. To fit it's a case of swapping the mounting frame across and then connecting the wires the right way round. I soldered them to the existing plug but you could use a terminal block or crimp on spades/bullets etc.
