I've got 225/35 in the proxies ATM and they are very stretched on the spiders. Though I think I ended up with a set of tuscan front and backs rather than 2 sets of fronts as is normally fitted to the cerb.
I did have rubbing issues when I put the spiders on, but I had some steering rack stops fitted and everything's been fine since.

In my opinion if you go for 225/40 then you probably wont get more rubbing. I did have rubbing issues when I put the spiders on, but I had some steering rack stops fitted and everything's been fine since.
If you go for 235/40 then you probably will.
BUT it really depends on your car and the tyre size/construction.
What did they come out as cost wise Pete?
I have the same size on my SP12's with Toyo T1R's but have also looked at these. Ideally I'd like to go for a 35 profile front (225 35 18) to give a little more clearance (car car is pretty low at the front on the Nitrons) but Federal don't do that size.
Cheers!

Really looking forward to some feedback from a user with a high power rwd car, most infact all reviews are good but typically they seem to be on fwd hatchbacks which makes it hard to determine. Ive got goodyear f1's now which i reckon are about 3 years old (came with car) but are still legal, problem is first gear foot down just spins the tyres all the way through.
I had r888's on an evo9 and the grip was unreal, heated up very quick and just transformed the car. They lasted very well but when you consider the 4wd and no wheelspin then i suppose they will.
What i'm worried about now is these sort of tyres is really bad wear on the rears. 5 or 6k i'd be happy with but any less i'd be a bit gutted really.
I'm pretty confident they get heat into them pretty quick and i'm pretty confident they will have stiff side walls and have better feel than any normal road tyre.

Well they were delivered at 9am this morning. Cracking service, bought despatched, and delivered inside 21 hours.
I'll try to give some kind of review once I get them fitted and scrubbed in. The problem I will have is that I'm comparing them directly to very hard proxies.
1st and 2nd were useless for wheel spin so I'll be able to see how the RSR's stick.
