There's a pub near here that does an open mike night on a Tuesday (No, I don't take part) and it's generally a good evening out with some decent stuff being played. Landlord is now a bit of a TV star if you watch trashy weekend TV and I thought it might be nice with the fine evenings to pop along and have a brew and a catch up with folks.

Pub is not massive, car parking is on the street so we can't be doing 100 cars as with Pub Club, but it's a good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Anyone interested? So far it's me and Poley.

Yep, not sure how you get to have a go, there is a bunch of guys with instruments and away you go. Perhaps Karl knows more details?

Never better. Thinking of coming over? Be good to catch up again.

I'm thinking just put the idea out there then it could become regular or not, see who turns up on the night.

It's The Fountain in Rowland's Castle. The Landlord is Herbie Armstrong who used to play with Van Morrison in his early years. It's basically a really good jam session and they generally have half a dozen or more really good musicians, sometimes famous (sax player from Dire Straits often turns up) and a few really good singers. Herbie usually finishes off with a couple of songs from his new album.
Music normally starts just before 9 and has to finish at 10:30 sharp (bloody neighbours!)

If I'm in the country I'll definitely walk down for this!
