OK, I know I'm going to open myself up for abuse, but I had a fantastic pastrami sandwich a few weeks ago and following unsuccessful trips to Sainsbury’s and Tesco, I wondering if anybody can recommend a decent online source for pastrami (or other similar sliced beef)

Would love to nip into a local deli and buy it, but the Wirral peninsular seem to be fairly devoid of decent deli’s as well as bakers that sell none generic bread rolls (to the point that I’ve been considering ordering a metric st load from “born and bread” and freezing them!)

Most supermarkets sell it, I'm surprised it wasn't at Tesco and Sainsbury. Maybe we get pastrami down south, and up north you get mushy peas instead wink

Sainsburys and Tesco do sell something that is labelled as pastrami . . . . . . . it would be better labelled as dog food frown

What you need is the PH chefs to give you a recipe, then make your own wink

Wallys in Cardiff are good, I've only been to their shop in Royal Arcade which is fantastic.
I see they are now online, but their website looks a bit outdated and hard to navigate.

M&S and Waitrose do 'reasonable' Pastrami. No quite up to a good NY Deli but not bad.

Or you could try a Broadway Danny Rose or a Ruben at the Carnegie Deli http://www.carnegiedeli.com

Just don't have a cholesterol test afterwards...

Waitrose yes

We use the same Waitrose as the now-ever-so-popular Middletons bowtie

It is. Wife and I went there last Christmas. I am not usually a Pastrami person but tried it, wow it was amazing. Usual issue is the portions are HUGE
