Porsche v TVR - possible event.

There is a possibility of organising a future event (maybe next year).

Approx 60 of each marque would be able to attend a 1/4 mile and half mile test day with proper timing equipment supplied.
The venue will probably be at a certain RAF airbase in the South.

As numbers would be limited then there would be plenty of track time running alongside the porkers.

Question is... can we get 60 cars to guarantee attendance?

it will be good fun but please do not think the TVRs will win this event. If a number of decent modern porsches come along they will destroy "most" tvr's in a 1/4 and 1/2 mile run - most will not see which way a 997 Turbo S went. the 997 RS both gens have TC so this gets of the line very well indeed.

I would love to come, I have had three RS model 911's so I will be cheering them on as well if I do not bring a RS along as well as I can not see it being long before I own another at some stage to sit next to my Sag.

Standard C2s and C4s (996 & 997) you'll hold your own. 996 Turbo, no chance. 997 turbo - what 997 turbo.....

Would be better if a TVR-Porsche trackday, though reading some of the bks posted on PHs lately I'd be surprised if any TVRs managed to do a full lap without killing it's driver.
