Thanks and Apologies
Discussion
I made a mistake on the A59 tonight coming back from Harrogate - I thought I could see further than I actually could and bit off more than I could chew with an overtake.
On the off-chance that any of those involved were PH's and are thinking 'Who was that total idiot on the bike - he nearly got himself killed?' you are quite correct, please accept my sincere apologies.
To the chap coming the other way who I probably scared the crap out of, you have my profuse thanks for making enough room for me to live and again my apologies for my mistake.
Yours Humbly,
Tom

Definitely an experience to be learned from - if in doubt then one at a time is a much more sensible option, even if you /think/ the road is clear.
It was also an excellent lesson in motorcycle control with regard to what happens when the rear wheel locks up.
One of those things that you never stop learning from although I'll be very glad if I never repeat it.
Cheers,
Tom

Look at it this way: At least you didn't run around playing the Billy Big bIt was also an excellent lesson in motorcycle control with regard to what happens when the rear wheel locks up.

ks, urban hero shyte about what just happened! You had the good grace to admit you were a tit and take a lesson from it...a rare thing these days.
Whether in a car or on a bike (bit of both for me) we make the odd cock-minded judgement call and if we're lucky enough, we can come out of it without anyone being hurt and take the lessons that come with

No harm done and you fight another day
