Hi,

The front of my T350 is sitting too low and I would like to raise it, but the shocks fitted to the front, standard red coloured ones with black springs, have spring platforms are fixed.

I am thinking about replacing them with gas golds but can I replace just the front ones or must I replace the front and rear at the same time?

Next question, where is the cheapest place to buy them?

Thanks

Ian

I have Gaz Gold Pros on my Cerb SP6 and have found them to be great for fast road action, I would think that you would have to get them for the front and back to keep the car balanced and it will improve the handling. I bought mine from Absolute Shocks (not sure on the spelling) but they were of there e-bay shop. The difficulty is getting the shocks set up properly, there easy enough to fit, but I fiddled around with mine for 12 months then went to a specialist who set up the shocks and did the tracking and corner weighting and the car is SORTED, It is far better than the on the original set up.

I paid about £550 12 months ago and prices have risen and of course VAT has went up since. but factor in £150-£200 to get it set up properly once you have fitted them it makes all the difference.

Nice car by the way, congratulations on getting it back on the road.

The original shocks spring seats heights are set by circlips underneath. The shock body should have a number of groves to allow choice of ride height (probably hidden if on lowest setting). You have to compress the springs to allow circlip to be freed and moved to next highest slot.
probably easier with them removed from car.
