Car leasing and contract sales people assistance please....

I sat down and worked out rough costs of running my work hack.

Audi a4 1.9tdi sport b6 chassis.

Climate control
Electric lumbar support
Electric windows
Cracking stereo.

Running costs are roughly...

80 quid per 65l of diesel which gets me around 650 miles.

Car does up to 60k miles a year.

Gets through 3-4 sets of tyres at near on £100 a corner.
2 sets of front pads and 1 set of front disks per year.
Needs servicing every 20k miles or every 3-4 months at a cost of around 2-300 quid a time all work is indy based.
Needs 1 cambelt+waterpump service per year at roughly £3-450.

Long and short running costs work out at around about 2800 in fuel per year (wont change no matter what car) and another 3-4k a year in "maintenance". Car is owned outright and worth less than nothing.

The question here is, is there a cheaper or more pain free option leasing or buying a car with a maintenance plan for example that would be equal to or close to what i presently have as i kinda think 3-4k a year running costs are a little steep?

I dont mind petrol over diesel and not overly bothered by man or auto as have been considering an auto for work for some time. My feeling is a cant do better but hey ho dont ask dont get.

Any ideas or suggestions? Any help or advice appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

anything you go for that is new / nearly new will have depreciation in it too and, at 60k a year, that's a big cost to add into your sums.

I've not seen any lease contracts that cover 60k miles pa, not for private cars anyway.

Car is a work car with a little private use less than 4k per year if that. Self employed if that helps so may be able to organise a workaround for business use.

<£7k to cover 60k miles (11.67ppm) in reasonable comfort seems about as cheap as you are going to get imo

splitting hairs you could get something with a cheaper size tyres, but I don't think you are going to save enough to make it worth the aggro

keep buying a car you like and running it until you feel like a change and then change it

for the amount of time you spend in the car, you deserve to have something as reasonable as you want don't you?

Deserve??? Not sure on that one but certainly would like and thats kinda one of the issues. Primary is for the car to be seriously reliable. My a4 has broken down once in roughly 6 years (not including the time i broke it) and is very comfy and i would want to keep the status quo fairly similar.

Hmm its tempting but tbh i bought this one for 11k and after 6 years its worth nothing or put another way i have washed 2k a year nearly in dep plus 3-4k a year in running costs. Not really that keen on a repeat.

Thanks I appreciate that but in this instance I'll echo Cheadle Hulme, you'll struggle to find a lease contract that'll allow a mileage like that. 50000 per annum is the most I've ever seen.

Oh well thanks all i figured that would be the case. Now all i have to do is figure out a way to reduce running costs a bit more. At the moment the annoyance is the once a year cambelt and water pump. Knowing that bm diesels dont need em annoys me as thats around 400 a year i need not spend.
