Tuscan topless

Heard a rumour at the weekend the Tuscan is going completely topless, should be at the motorshow anyone know any more details

Yes indeedy, was at the factory today and what was originally thought to be a prototype showcase for the show has actually already gone into production...i think the one at the show is a converted original but the full deal has now gone onto the line...like the griff old days again!!

Hmmmm...very nice BUT do we really need another 2 seater TVR. The Cerbera in it's current form is coming to the end of it's life and I can't help but think that what we really need is a decent 2+2 replacement.

Come on TVR, there's a market out there for those of us that loved our 2 seater TVRs but now need 4 seats for the kids too (ie your future market). We don't all want a 911...

I gather the front has been reworked. Any idea how? Is this going to be basically a Tamora replacement due to the fact it never really caught on?

It's the back I'm more interested in. The only current TVR I like the back of is the Sagaris, lets hope the Motorshow car looks as good....

hmm the tuscan engine goes topless every few months though, are they bringing the body out in sympathy of the engine?

Except this will be in the region of £10-£12k more than the Tamora, and the Tamora is not being dropped.

Guess the Tamora sales will be increasing then...

I think when peope see a Tamora in the flesh they love them! Alas they are not photogenic which means people shun them. I would say a ragtop tuscan is definately going to cost way more than an entry level tam.

There's a strategy here- T350/Tamora = hard/soft top ~£40k, hard/soft top Tuscan ~£50k, so next it'll be soft top Typhon at ~£80k. Maybe a soft top four seater will follow?

No pictures sorry, i don't think the guy should even have told me!! Apparently the front wings are going to "bulge" more on top a la Jag D type i suppose??? The Typhon from MPH03 was there with a few war wounds and LOTS and LOTS of de-engined tuscans. Couple more suprises lined up for the show too!!

I saw 3 de-engined Tuscans there 2 weeks ago - and a T350C too. Finger followers again on low mileage cars, don't know about the T350 but that had the back panel missing where the exhausts come through too.

I've heard about this soft top Tuscan too. Get the impression that it has had a makeover to freshen up the Tuscan exterior and a new interior as well. I look forward to seeing the inside as TVR really know to how make the inside of a car look good.

I quite like the Tamora - just think some colours suit it better than others, as is true of all TVRs. There is a stunning pearlescent yellow one owned by a fellow PHer in Blackpool region - it looks really cool.

Too true.

The Tamora is brill in the flesh so to speak, but looks awkward in photos.

I am glad you like that colour as thats exactly what we have on order! Less than 3 weeks to go!!

Maddog, was it you that posted asking for anyone going to have a look in final production for a yellow Tam? if it was, I forgtot to take my camera but there was a yellow one half way down the shed on the final line, greasy mechanic sat in the boot trimming her up!!
