Just curious what peoples plans are for Dads Day Out ? Not heard anything official on arrival times yet but i would imagine those in PH display parking and those on static display stands would be required to arrive at 8am-ish with those on track arriving a similar time if not a touch earlier............ general public will be let in at 9am i guess ?

As per last year Guildford Cathedral seems to make sense as a meeting point before the final leg into Dunsfold aswell as the fact i believe i'm joining some at Clackett Lane Services on the M25 to then go on to the Cathedral........ anyone coming from Essex, Kent or even Sussex are obviously welcome to join us there biggrin

Timings are up for discussion but i'm thinking

Clackett Lane Services - 6:00am for 6:30 depart

Guildford Cathedral - 7:00 for 7:30 depart

Some will obviously be coming from completely different directions so feel free to discuss your plans on the thread or start your own smile

Really looking forward to this event now bounce Just seems to be going from strength to strength each year biggrin

I'm pretty sure last year the convoy left Guildford 8.15am.............well according to last years pictures it did but then my camera could be wrong.

Edit: I'm correct I arrived at Guildford at 7.40 and the cars started leaving 8.15. Do we need to get to Dunsfold earlier this year? I see its open to public at 9am was it 10am last year?

Was it a 10am start last year ?........... Dunno, can't remember either lol rolleyes

What i do know is that the official word is that cars on display, not sure if that includes PH parking, need to be in place before 08:30...... i think this is because they want to squeeze extra track rides in this year so kicking that side of things off as early as possible smile

So the question is, can we put my timings back half an hour to leave the Cathedral at 08:00 ? Can't remember how long it takes to get to the venue from the Cathedral rolleyes would we get there and get set up in that time taking into account it's a saturday morning this time so extra traffic plus queuing to get into Dunsfold..... Bit tight i reckon but then an hour to get there sounds quite a lot........ maybe leave the cathedral at 7:45........... i dunno, i'm making all this up as i go along laugh

Should only take around 20mins to get to Dunsfold from the Cathedral (24mins per google!) We will have to navigate Guildford town centre, which although will be quiet, does have traffic lights so the group may fragment straight away, but from then on its just pretty much one road.

Yup, display cars need to be in place by around 8.30, so aiming to leave around 7:45 is probably about right...

I will be at the Cathedral, but may have to leave around 7:30 as one of my mates is on the drivers list so needs to be there before 8 for the briefing...

Fingers crossed this weather holds now!

I'd be interested in a run from the Cathedral. I'm staying at a hotel in Guildford so can get there nice and early. I'm driving on the day at Dunsfold so I need to leave early enough to get there between 7:45 and 8am. Google Maps says 25 mins from the Cathedral so leaving just before 7:30 should give us plenty of time. smile
