Just got back from the bank with a big wedge and hope to pick one up tomorrow smile

Having had 3 Griffs a Chim and latterly a Cerb I've never even driven a Wedge and hope it lives up to my expectations (always wanted a V8 'pre cat'..... the NOISE cloud9).

Taking a punt buying from a photo and a 'phonecall nuts but can't wait.....

No doubt will have plenty of silly questions in due course...

Nothing quite like driving a wedge IMHO.

I'm sure the Griff/Chim/Cerb etc, are quicker, more refined etc, but there is nothing like the other road users thinking "WTF is that!?".

Definite "silly grin factor" every time I drive mine.

Everything a TVR should be.

I love it! I've seen wee kids jumping up and down in my mirror when you give it the berries past them.

At least this time you'll be driving about with a smile on your face [all the time].
Best of luck.

Good choice that man....so where are the pics... rain or shine we dont mind.
At least the roof comes down on the wedge unlike the chimps and griffs, must be a design flaw...

Thanks for all the replies.

After a 3 hour drive driving with the top down my face hurts from grinning biggrin

That could be for a number of reasons;

- the popping and banging on the overrun;
- the insane sensation/noise when accelerating (more spine tingling than any car I have driven);
- engine is just run in and IS quicker than my previous Griffs (3 x 500's);
- had several thumbs up from others after some shared spirited driving....

Will hopefully post some pics up very soon if it stays dry.

If I see a posse walking along I dip the cluch and give it a bootful, always gets the girls screaming (sometime the lads too) hehe

Missed a gearchange officer, honest whistle

V8D Perf 4.6 Stage 3 MCI cam, PNP Megasquirt flapper, Ported Inlet/45mm T/base, ITG air filter, S/H throttle pots, new twin fans, lots of other new bits and something to do with top hats. (I don't know what most of this means (I'm sure someone will be along and enlighten me) but it goes like stink.....).

The only disappointment is I have averaged 26mpg so far - must try harder wink
