Inside a Clutch Slave Cylinder
Discussion
Out on a PH hoon I managed to loose all my Clutch hyrdaulic fluid, out of the slave cylinder.
So I'm Going to replace it, and see if I can get new seals and refurbish the old one as a spare.
Thought anyone with a slave cylinder problem might like to see the internals...
Fresh off the car

Internals

Piston - seems to be polished on one side only, seals don't look too bad. Wondering if cleaning it up and re-assembling would work ok.??

It's a 4AGE with RWD transmission from an 80's Toyota Corolla GTS/AE86 I think... Not sure what the box is - has the slave cylinder on the inlet side.
I think the OEM part no. for the slave cylinder is 31470-12050.
Online source for that part in the UK is pretty limited. Will pop into Toyota tomorrow. Almost bought one off eBay but realised it was the wrong way round at the last minute!
Found a site in the US selling replacement internals but can't find it now.

Clutch cylinders, and brake ones, invariably leak because of the condition of the bore (rusty and pitted) rather than the seals which is the one thing you have not shown pics of. Just get a new one and don't bother faffing about trying to make a 30 year old one work again with new seals.
