My 944 idle speed is about 600 - 700 rpm. This causes a few rattles in the dash and doors. Ideal speed is about 800 - 900 rpm. Any ideas on the easiest way to adjust this?

It'd make sense to ask on the Porsche forum.

Yup wrong forum but I'd check around the idle control valve. Unfortunately most of it is under the inlet manifold & difficult to see. Will also depend on which model & year of 944.

Thinking about it I had a similar issue with my early 944 and found eventually it was an airleak from a fualty oil filler cap. Air leaks are the most likely answer.
