Right guy's/ girls, there's a convoy of me and six lads heading out to Le Mans with a birthday boy on-board this year. He will be turning 18 on the 10th of June, this is the night we arrive at the camp site. I would really appreciate it if people could give me a few ideas of what we could do with him / for him...

I hear there is a night club near to the camp site?? Any information would be appreciated.

Regards

Be gentle with him.

My youngest lads birthday is the race day, Saturday, I've told him i've arranged for him to start the race, but at 27, I think he's seen through this, but regardless, I suspect a few Kronenburgs might be consumed.

Not long now smile

It's my daughters 12th birthday on the Sunday party
Last year we stayed with Vauxhall VXR and they made little ferb a cake and presented it to her in the VXR awning. Plus they put happy birthday Jade messages all over the tent and gazebo biggrin

is there any free shuttle service to / from lemans itself?

I dont like the thought of having to single out one of my friends as a designated driver frown

Happy birthday in advance for the person in question, i'm sure he'll have a blast !!

Tram thingy (not free) from the track to the town centre (also stop outside Carrefour which is useful)

It was my son's birthday in 1996 that led us both to become regulars.

He was born on Father's Day in the early 1970s, and in 1996 his birthday, Father's Day and Le Mans all coincided. I offered him a choice of present: a trip to Le Mans or the British F1 GP and he opted immediately for Le Mans. Obviously, I had brought him up well!

Booked the trip and travelled in my red Vauxhall Carlton 3.0 GSI (great car, wish I could have it back!). We parked in Parking Blanc, slept there each night, had seats in La Sarthe tribune, then known as Maison Blanche. The GT classes had a number of Ferrari F40s and a Honda NSX. The Mclarens were there too.

I've been almost every year since and son (also a PHer) has come too for most years. We've also been to every Le Mans Classic.

I think we'll have one of the grandsons along with us in a year ot two!
