I don't really remember any fantasy dramas, the current Game of Thrones is ace, my sky plus planner told me aboot Legend of the Seeker, based on the Shannara books. I have read one of them and thought it was ok, bit different from others with it's setting, if a little formulaic and derivative of Tolkien.
Anyone know of this series...would it be too much to expect another GoT?

It is quite exciting but really I just watch it for the ladies.

You would think it is different to the Shannara books as it is a completely different author and book series lol

Its based loosely on The Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind.

If you haven't read them then its worth a watch but the budget is fair below GoT so don't expect quite the cinematic experience

With Game of Thrones they have taken one of the more intelligent book series in the fantasy genre and tried to faithfully reproduce it.

With Legend of the Seeker they have taken one of the most derivative and trashiest fantasy series and then 'Xenafied' it.

I watched it, because I will watch any old rubbish in the sci-fi/fantasy genre, but I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
