New alarm immobiliser fob

I have a new immobiliser fob that needs programming up.
The instructions state that the code to enter the programming mode will be on the main alarm unit under the dash.
I cannot find this code any where. Can someone give me a pointer.
Probably best to PM me as alarm questions/answers are sensitive.

I happened to be looking through the info the original owner gave me last night, and noticed that included the alarm fitting certificate and the code. Obvious I know but presume you have checked you don't have it the easy way.
