Heated screen / Sanef Liber-t tag potential issues?
Discussion
Just wondered if any Seat Alhambra (yes alright, not very PH I know) owners had ever used a Sanef Liber-t telepeage tag in France?
I have a 2004 model which has a heated screen. There is no shaded area behind the rear view mirror (which apparently is preferable) and the screen heating elements continue through this area.
The Sanef website FAQ section says to place the tag in the shaded area. https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/support/faq and says "THIS IS CRITICAL FOR VEHICLES WITH HEATED OR ATHERMIC WINDSCREENS". However, it then goes on to say, "Some older model cars may not have this shaded area. If this is the case simply place behind the rear view mirror as shown above". It seems a little inconclusive.
Checked with Seat UK & Sanef and they didn't know either way??
The sat nav we have seems to work OK and does not have any reception issues but I'm not sure if the recieved signals are the same.
Anyone have any conclusive answers or experience?
Many thanks in advance if you can shed any light. Apologies if I am being thick.
