On a completely random activity - can someone with Mac OS 10.4.x let me know as I have something that I would like them to try for me....

If that is OK. I have 10.5.2 and a friend has a bunch of 10.5.1 and 10.5.2 machines - not one is 10.4.x.....

Can you do a couple of things for me using either Safari or Firefox? Drop me a PM through my profile if this is OK.

This sounds genuinely curious.....

You can run the same version of Firefox on both Tiger and Leopard, likewise there are people running Safari 3 on Tiger. Checking a website so it runs in a particular browser shouldn't require different OS releases to test... unless you think you've found an exploit in Tiger...

Interesting!! I have three Tiger boxes, two G4 and one Intel - the rest are on Leopard... if you need more tests (and if you're testing an exploit then I'd appreciate it if you told me so I could get all my personal detail off the install beforehand) then give me a shout.

If it's less suspicious than this, and you're merely testing Mac behaviour of a web app, I'd add Camino to the list as well, since it's a popular Firefox derivative (i.e. uses the Gecko rendering engine) that looks and behaves more like a Mac app. Certainly worth testing on, since it ties Firefox / Gecko code in more closely with the Cocoa frameworks and GUI elements.
