Im after a cheapo gps datalogger that i can chuck in the glove box of my car when it goes off to be serviced, cleaned, valet parked or whatever and then use to check if anyones been upto no good.

There seems to be quite a few about for about £50.

anyone got any reccomendations?

I recently got one from Maplin. I paid £39.99 but it's now £29.99

Seems OK, although you will need to let it "see the sky" to get a lock - which rules it out of hiding it in the glovebox...
You pre-set it all up from the PC and then you're "stuck with" the data collection intervals you specified, but it has a setting to make it collect data more frequently if the speed goes over a specified value.

I generally use it for logging cycle rides and the software allows you to upload trip data to a server to show it on the web.
